As a result, the uterus slips down into or protrudes out of the vaginal canal. This condition is common in postmenopausal women who have had one or more vaginal deliveries, and it can cause symptoms such as a feeling of heaviness or pulling in the pelvis, vaginal bleeding, difficulties with sexual intercourse, urinary leakage, or bowel movement problems.
